place and path

place and path
is no longer stable
we owe it more
than symbolic attention

where and how have we found, felt
new life this summer?
drawed upon our separate wellsprings
to find a flow
into renewed common course

all beginning times are fraught
with promise and anxiety
our fragile hope quivers

you have come to see
the worthfulness of life
as best unfolded
not in aloof solitude
not by nameless immersion in multitude
but in the stimulating and rewarding
encounter of spirit
