have you ever witnessed the glowing light of the dalai lama, or if you're familiar with yoga and india, with the paramahansa yogananda? do you know why they glow? well, i don't know enough to explain everything, but this is what i know. we do have chakras, and those chakras can be opened. i asked liz why people don't open them more often and she said because most people are not prepared to walk around in the world with their chakras opened. basically, she said, psychedelic drugs are effective because they open up your chakras. but you have to be very careful what kind of an internal environment you have when you open them. you have to have a history of positive thoughts and feelings. luckily i have such a history, which comes from deeply cultivating my yoga and spiritual readings and expression in the last year, since i've been out of school and working as a teacher on a flexible schedule.
i didn't expect liz to do the chakra opening on thursday. as i've expressed before, i had an awesome experience talking with carl the night before because he's a wonderful artist and person, and then i drank too much coffee and couldn't sleep. but the next day i needed some normalcy in my routine and went to yoga and this happened. and i had such an amazing experience from then on i can't even tell you. but they have been very live days.
today i showed up at yoga very, very happy. people were remarking that when i was talking to liz i was glowing with such a strong, luminous light. i went to the bathroom and checked myself out in the mirror and couldn't believe it. i looked like a hindu yogi. i was supposed to have dark eyes and long, wavy dark hair, but it was still me. this didn't last entirely tonight, but it was such an incredible experience.
i told liz about my experience on thursday. i knew that people felt in colors before. but i didn't realize it had to do with the energy of colors, like energy of the sun and the rainbow. i still don't know what i'm saying about all of this, but i know there is more to know. this is something i can only discuss and experience with very certain people, though.
liz said that when she met paramahansa yogananda (of autobiography of a yogi) she was glowing like this for two weeks. then she had to figure out how to try to get it back on her own. it seems to me that mostly she achieves that. she said ideally we can do this on our own. i mentioned that when we find this, we want to hold onto it. she acknowledged that that would be nice. depending on the person....
